It was good to hear about Lawrence O'Fallon.  I'm writing him after finishing this short note.  We serfs have tried to go along more or less constitutionally without a constitution (A la IWW in '18) - so its hard to tell people just how we may be found.  However I'll write O'Fallon of what we have done and make a few suggestions about what he can do in his "diocese."

April 2nd '39 119th Day C N G Strike

Dear Nelson: I'm sorry I had to miss the Anvil brawl but my sobriety and insolvency plus prospect of working today kept me near my bed on the old back porch. I liked the New Anvil. Read every word. As I am not established as a Morton Zabel nor Hazliff I won't bore you with any preferences of mine - but in answer to your inquiry: "Who will play Lenin to Chicago"? permit me to suggest the name Edward J Kelly! It was good to hear about Lawrence O'Fallon. I'm writing him after finishing this short note. We serfs have tried to go along more or less constitutionally without a constitution (A la IWW in '18) - so its hard to tell people just how we may be found. However I'll write O'Fallon of what we have done and make a few suggestions about what he can do in his "diocese." J Norman Schmidt should be home soon. We'll visit you together for an evening of bulling. All the Best, Nelson - J Cavangh Diggles Serf, Rtd (A F of L).
