not think it strange that I am going over the time set. The robins nest in the ash tree has suffered a tragedy ocurring yesterday morning, as I was dressing Malcolm. Heard a great racket, and looking out saw a horrible big black crow sitting at the edge of the nest, eating the eggs. About 6 blue jays were in the tree screaming, while this was going on. The robins came back after the rabble had dispersed but they are no where to be seen this morning Malcolm wept with much anguish for quite a while and I felt like joining him, as we have enjoyed watching the robins very much. Evidently, that is an unlucky spot for nesting. Helen dropped in on us last Sunday for a minute or two while her husband and children waiting outside in the car. Says they are all moved now, but does not know what their address is, so if you wish to write her use 5929 West Lake St., which is the number of Herman's store. Everything nice & green - barberry bushes in bloom, also syringa & bridal wreath. Trees all out except catalpas. Lilies of the Valley in bloom. Only one small blossom on the lilac bush in back yard. Hope to have some news before long.

not think it strange that I am going over the time set. The robins came back after the rabble had dispersed but they are no where to be seen this morning. Malcolm wept with much anguish for quite a while and I felt like joining him, as we have enjoyed watching the robins very much.
