Several things were proposed, but from the distracting pain I had in my head & sight failing I begged to be bled immediately. There was much consultation on this point Doctor __ not appearing to think it orthodox practice. I was bled & found considerable relief & went to sleep. The bleeding took away the Congestion & serious character of my attack & in a day or two afterwards, I proceeded on my journey. The following day I reached my headquarters, | |||
