wonder at christianity- they do as were leap for the theshhold of Heaven into the abiss of woe- These are left with the Jews to experience the ful weight of their condemnation charity would hope there are but very few of this class in this land- although there are many who assume a kind of bravado in speaking light of religion, Yet on a death-bed will whisper a very different tone- & although they may not possess the salvation of the gospel [crossed out: [of Ct]], yet they will deny any other hope, but from that quarter- Such persons do themselves infinite damage in addition to this dishonoring Christ by endeavouring to make themselves think they disbelieve- whereas they do it merely for customs sake & to live as they please with less checks of conscience- But a few moments reflection
