Cold blustery & disagreeable - Got off soon after 8 am Gave a man a dollar to show us the best ford over the Canadian - Arriving at that stream I mounted one of the spare horses - The Ambulance & horsemen got over beautifully though the channel was quite deep - but narrow - We got into no quick sand but we saw our danger in a stage & buckboard hopelessly stuck - sent back the leaders of ambulance team hitched them on to our baggage wagon & it | |||
