Thos O Hanlon assumed the task of answering the communication, but the nature of which I am unaware The scouts left the Fort on the morning  of the 20 inst intending to go to Jeanneaux Post, bearing letters written by  myself and Mr Culbertson, interpreter to John a Culbertson, asking that if any danger was apprehended to send us information if possible -
