Lest possibly you do receive my other letter I must repeat again somewhat of my former very prolix directions to you, about reaching this place immediately. You will be expected as soon as next week. The Route is "Boston"; you probably know the way there best & cheapest, or the one you prefer as well as I do. At Boston take the Lowell R.R. and Ticket through to Manchester. Tickets through though you pass over the different R. Roads. Lowel, Nashua and Concord. If you want to come out here the same day by Stage, take the Morning Train, Leave Boston I don't know when, 7 to 8 1/2, Read the N.H. City of Spindles, perhaps 10. at which time or soon after the Cars arrive, a stage leaves either for Henniker or Hillsboro'. bothe of which pass through this Goffstown, and by a place called "Parker's" before noon where can direct you to the "Engineer", or his head quarters at G.W. Parker's. Fare Boston to Manchester 1.15 I believe Manchester to Parker's .50. Or if you will give me due notice, I will arrange probably if you let me know the day & trip of your arrival at Manchester, to be there with my horse & carriage for you.
