Do not tear off or throw away part, there is none to spare none to be lost by blood letting, blistering, effect of poisons etc. Let Nature recruit her own energies; Assist here if need be. Cleanse & purify the system perhaps by rise of Water. Use not harsh remedies for Chronic complaints. I should have more confidence in the full Water Cure for your case. | |||
Sat. Eve. 14th. I went over to Keene Wed. back Thurs. Hired a horse & went over across the Country 40 mls. Under the foot of Monadnoc etc. fine ride etc. It was hard indeed getting away from there, I tell you; but I believe I finally did, and am now pretty regularly fixed. as Eng. in charge Tec. Div. N.H.C.R.R. My jurisdiction is 10 or 12 Miles, helpers 5 or 6, pay $60.00 per month, which I expect to earn, intend to at least. | |||

Stevens, Depot Master at Grouts has in his hands $30.00 of mine which he was directed when ready to forward to you. Apr. 1st I had perhaps $20.00 spare with me. Making say $150.00 remains of my first 18 mos. Engineering besides $123.00 paid Jos. McKeen and somewhat I forget exactly, and a small item or two I owed beside. | |||
Perhaps in all $300.00 beside being personally somewhat better furnished than when I commenced. So you see I do not [[?]] forget those dollars. I have no got fairly started, am in receipt of $720. per annum; if I have constant business health & good luck I intend to save nearly or quite $500.00 this year. | |||
I expect to be consistent whatever funds I have ought to be invested in R.R. Stocks or Bonds. If you have left business, how are your funds disposed? Is the money worth 6 per c to you? | |||
