Why do you not write to me all about what you read, and what you think about it. I would only I do not read any nowadays hardly except the newspapers; No chapters of French & Independent & Cong. Herald on Sunday, Tribune & St Louis Papers on Week days. Now you get to Dunbarton I expect you will write to me all about every thing there. Health & Spirits of Father & Mother Progress of everybody else that I know, or ought to know; And especially all about George. His condition, prospects &c. &c. The thing I am a little afraid there at Dunbarton you are a little to apt to shut your self up in the house too much - not walk & ride out doors enough. Of course you will have Mayo out doors every day. Have him if you have not a nice little light two wheel carriage. Of course do not rely upon that old borrowed one with bed bugs in it. And do go out yourself every day. Walk about and visit all the neighbors more than ever you did in your life. And ride about too -- and write to me everything you see -- If your father has not got a horse you can drive safely yourself -- or ride horseback -- ride out with father every time he goes any where: he will let you I guess if you coach him smartly. Your great business it is to enjoy yourself & Mayo, and to get a fine stock of health & strength for both of you -- and -- write and let me know all about it Most Sincerely Isaac S.M.
