I want to write to cousin Jerusha Williams at Louiseville Ohio but do not know her address since her marriage, I should feel rather doubtful about offering my 'services to that association to provide teachers for the West, because should not like to be trammeled as to be entirely under their direction: don't know but I shall advertise when I get to Boston for a situation at the South wouldn't it be a good plan? I expect to start for Boston in four weeks (i.e Aug. 12th Lizzie Doe and I stand together, she takes the cars at Portsmouth and goes to visit a friend in N.H while I go over to Northfield or Warwick, make my visit there among the friends for a week or so, then return to Boston with Mother, where Lizzie is to meet me she has friends in Cambridge: we mean to be at Cambridge Com. and we mean to have a smart beau to wait upon us my brother Isaac! as without doubt he could leave just a day or two, and it would delight him to be present on that occasion, Do you not think so? I have been to see Lucy several times, have spent one sabbath with them: she is probably enjoying the happiest period of her life, either past or future, she has no care or anxieties, no troubles, with bright hopes future: the house is not pretty, but every thing else is pleasant, - Hampden village, reposes quietly on its pleasant green slope at the south, a little nearer the Penobscot theirs glimpses of its placid waters with vessels passing, while in front the high bank shuts out the view of the river, but descents gently towards the house in pastures and pretty cultivated fields. The 4th which was a day of such show and bustle and turmoil, here, I spent quietly at Hampden alone with Lucy in the forenoon, in the afternoon J & E came to tea Charles came the day before spent most of the time much. The new splendid boat 'State of Maine' runs now between Bangor and Portland. I went down to see it the other night, it is very beautiful, carpeting alone is said cost 5,000 the fare is reduced in all the boats to 1,00. - I should like to stop one day in Boston over my way if it will make no difference in expense. - Would my trunk be safe in the rail road house?

Perhaps you had better not mention that I think any of leaving here.
