I left Pittsburgh at 8 A.M. by R.R. for Cleaveland. Arrived there at 3 three P.M. waited there till 3 1/4 and reached Elyria at 7 P.M. in the midst of much rain but in fine health & spirits, and found all here about the same. They had been expecting to see me for a day or two. Everything here is nice comfortable & convenient, as can be. Do you not wish poor you & I & Mayo & Grace! had some nice place of our own? Would not we be happy? However, I guess we will not complain much. We have much now to be grateful for. They want to see you and Mother probably more than they wanted to see me. They had a great freshet here a week ago, carried away mills, bridges etc. and now is another great rain. It rained | ||
