I do verily believe that you have put too much confidence in the Coldwater treatment- you may laugh at my fears and anxiety about you but you may find by bitter experience that it would be better for you to be a little more like other folks since you are flesh & blood and of "like passions,,. Ann is gone really gone is I suppose on her way from Albany to Buffalo today expects to pass the Sabbath in Buffalo I feel very anxious to hear from her again dont know yet whether she is to be located. Have you written to her you cant imagine how bad I feel to have her so far far away alone. Charles seems to want and mean to pay you something but thinks he cant now I shall talk about it now and then if he has no uncommon bad luck I think he will "wiggle,, himself in to a better condition in a year or two but in consequence of his not getting his oxen sold last winter & they got lame besides he had had to hire money to pay for them & then hire more to pay that, has lately been Sued by Rollins for an old disputed affair/tax about the bridge he built couldnt get pay for and wouldnt pay his
