I have just written a letter to Rev J. [[Newten?]] in reply to one from him asking for coal. Last night wrote one to L.L. Jenkins in reply to one from him. He is established at Boston you know. Your letter of the 13th came to hand this evening. The Boys and myself wrote a big letter to you Sunday night, mailed yesterday morning, which after some hesitation I directed [[ampersand?]] [[unclear]]; thinking it would not get around before Thursday, and that by that | I have just written a letter to Rev J. I wrote much about going East, or rather not going, and mostly concluding it was hardly best to try to go. If i went I should hardly feel like staying more than the [[unclear]] possible days to go and come in, and perhaps it would hardly be months the while if you could come back alone or with Samuel or somehow. There would seems to be no difficulty about the Children,or about any one of them in particular at any rate. |
