Dont you think that Charles's health will suffer if he comes home just as the cold weather commences - he is needed at home to put things to rights & I should be very glad he is coming if it was not for the fear I have about his health

They will have done all the Harvesting I guess for there was very little to do  the dry weather and the frost I suppose kill'd the Corn and most of the Oats - Albina said Walter & George were cutting down the alders just below the knowls by that little old bridge for firewood - I told her that the 12, a month & six dollars for board that Georges labor [[unclear]] cost would buy more [[unclear]] than he would get in a month in that way
