Nov. 25 Thanksgiving no meeting. Went to Wedding {Lorfair Knopps} in evening  enjoyed very well thought of home and dear friends there.
Nov. 25 Thanksgiving no meeting. Went to Wedding {Lorfair? Knapp's} in evening  enjoyed very well thought of home and dear friends there.
Dec - Letter from home father mother and brothers all wrote a portion. It was very very welcome. all are well.  I feel grateful to God that he has preserved my dear friends in health and happiness.

Dec 19 - Sabbath  - come to Elder Knopp last eve to spend a Sabbath and go to cch in Rockport.  Oh that it may not be a misspent Sabbath - my heart is cold & Oh for grace to do soften it. __ met a [[unclear]].  Dr. Merrit who was from Epsom and knew my parents there  urged me very much to go and see [[unclear]] told him I would try.

Dec 25 - Christmas - went to Mr Hopkin's with Mr Clarey  Came home in the evening and found a box I had been expecting from home had arrived.  I was very happy indeed - it was full of tokens of love and kindness  I felt grateful that it came safely - God is good - His mercies are new every morning and fresh every evening.  O that I loved him form.
Dec 25 - Christmas - went to Mr Hopkin's with Mr Clarey  Came home in the evening and found a box I had been expecting from home had arrived.  I was very happy indeed - it was full of tokens of love and kindness  I felt grateful that it came safely - God is good - His mercies are new every morning and fresh every evening.  O that I loved him more.
Dec 26. Sab.  The last Sabbath in the year. Oh how for [[unclear]] I know what I should be let me seriously in Thine into my spiritual state. am I nearer heaven than when the year commenced!  I hope I do feel an increasingly intense in heavenly realities - Two dear friends, my own dear grandmother's - links in the chain that bound me to earth and now among the ransomed hosts above - and others whom I loved have during the past year found a home with the dead, and I know not who next may go - many doubtless will be deprived of dear friends by the grip of death ere the last Sabbath of another year comes round.
