I was very happy indeed - it was full of tokens of love and kindness I felt grateful that it came safely - God is good - His mercies are new every morning and fresh every evening. I hope I do feel an increasingly intense in heavenly realities - Two dear friends, my own dear grandmother's - links in the chain that bound me to earth and now among the ransomed hosts above - and others whom I loved have during the past year found a home with the dead, and I know not who next may go - many doubtless will be deprived of dear friends by the grip of death ere the last Sabbath of another year comes round. | ||
