turning point with John - I have conversed with him - he expresses a strong wish to be a Christian - says he has been in the habit of praying for years - on sunday lest there being no meeting Bel came over here and we spent the most of the day alone - I conversed with her and found her very tender, she seemed very glad to converse she says she has felt an unusual interest in the subject since last fall I prayed with her and heart seemed ready to burst - Ah! Samuel Oh Lucy pray for us - pray much, pray that God will not withdraw his spirit

I have waited so long to see something good here, I feel as if I cannot be denied, pray for Theodor for Warren for Father for all of us and in particular at this time for those whom I trust God is calling - I do wish you would write to each one now on the subject of Religion. I believe this is your duty remember you are the only one who call himself Christian in this family if I except Father who I think needs our prayers as much as the rest - I know you will forgive my earnestness - for you will feel with me that the subject is pressing - and when at the throne of mercy do not forget myself - I could write a good deal more but no time nor paper Helen
