Bangor My Dear Son The thing seems now to be determin'd that Percie & I spend the summers at Milo_ Anna wrote very earnestly for me to go to Elyria with Samuel but I have not been able to really think it best_ not that I should not enjoy it very much in deed_ I really cant think of such a thing as your going away from there before I see you The question has been whether I could have any good opportunity to go in the fall but Sam'l has thought of a way_ His Father & wife are coming east to spend the Summer or part of it, & S. says I can go when they go back_ & so I can if I live & have my health_ but I had forty times rather have you or Eliab for company_ E. says he will go with me soon as the river closes but Sam'l says he dont believe he will or can Hattie presented me on my seventieth birthday a very handsome Silver apple knife and Eliab
