Tuesday 22nd Did not go out until after dinner but read | Tuesday 22nd Did not go out until after dinner but read & wrote my exercises; when dinner was over we went to the Capitol & into the Museo of Sculpture the most noted statues are the Faure, in red (rosso) marble the dieing gladiator, Aggrippino the Mother of Nero, & some other very pretty a number of very beautifully carved sarcophagus's - it was beginning to rain when we came out therefore came immediately home for all of the rest of the party to get out of the carraige excepting Aunt Julia & I who went on to pay some visits - first we |
