Mr. Chauncey Whittlesey Junr. New Haven 23 March 1786 Sir Mess Broome & platt have paid me a note of yours dated 21st March 86 for £190.6.10 1/2 on which you have paid £18.- I have left it with Mr. John Glover of this place to whom you will strikethrough: pla please acknowledge receipt of this letter -- I hope you will have it in your power to pay it when due as I assure you money is what I want exceedingly I am with great respect Sir Your very Hbl.
