Went to the Larger Cathedral it was crowded, although it is an immense building. The Altar occupies the center of the building & the people kneel or stand around it, I saw no old pictures here as Vera Cruz. J bought me a lovely boquet of violet--there was every variety, which we see at home. We went to call on the Consul Generals family, which resulted in a most delightful day.
