Mild pleasant day | Thursday, May 24. Mild pleasant day. Spent the day in the office - Read some & idled a good deal. At night called at Mr [[unclear]] to see Miss Fitzsimmons & found her abed. Just going out & so I called upon Miss Martie Dawson & spent the evening & then went [[?]] with the purpose of attending the [[Res?]] Sociable but found them just left & leaving & so I return home.
