13th--Arrived at Tampico Mex about eight this morning. I was glad to get out on deck althought feeling quite unsteady. There is no harbor at this place, but the Steamer "lays   [[unclear]]" about three miles from shore , & is communicated with by little Tugs and liters (lighters) of which there were quite a number.--The town of Tampico is five miles inland up the River, but on clear days the church spires can be seen--
