Your letter from there was very welcome. This little bud is from the "Burning Bush." Doesn't it look like an apple blossom? On the shrub the blossoms are much redder, this blossomed on a sprig I picked, after it had been in our room over a week, and it is pale. I got it in the cemetery. One of my scholars, a quiet, sensible girl, about 18 years old, was with me. We went also into the colored people's burying ground.
