Jennie Hunt died | [[note top left: Jennie Hunt died + ]] Monday Feb 8, 1875 Another clear sunny day, all of us Well. took my Carriage and went to see Belle with Ada. we found it very cold so hurried home and brought Mr Badger home with us. Ada and I talk of going to night to Louisville but Mr Badger has persuaded us out of it. I called to see Mrs Leiter, her son Josie sick, Dr and Mrs Kelly and Mrs Will Angell took tea with us, I mean Mr Will Angell, came in after tea. Belle has changed her servants to Germans and she likes them. Catie Lunt spent day with Belle Teusday Feb 9th 1875 Again a blustering day, but sunny, all of us Well. Alice Hilton called to invite us to a surprise party at her mother house, the anniversary of their twenty fifth wedding day. Lena gone to dress Belle for the parties to night. Mr James Foster called, at nine o. clock Mr Badger Ada and myself went to Mrs Ed Isham party. met many people. staid there until eleven, then went to Mrs C. M. Henderson,s party. met Mr and Mrs Harvey at both places, this being Shrove Tuesday we had pancakes for supper Wednesday Feb 10th 1875 It is mild to day and it is snowing very fast the heaviest fall of snow we have had this winter at eleven o,clock Ada and I went to church, there was a large attendance, after church went to see Belle, found them all well, then went and paid several of my bills when we returned home we were astonished to see White Crape on Mrs Hunt's door, Jeannie died last night after twelve O, clock, it was a shock to every one, she thirteen year old, her poor mother is a widow with only one child left (Lizzie) Thursday Feb 11, 1875 The sun shines brightly but it is very cold, there is a great deal of snow on the ground, after breakfast I took my sleigh and went down with my driver Thomas to visit my daughter Belle for a few minutes, found them all well, returned home. Mr Keep and Miss Keep called to see us at five O,clock I went to church with Ada and sent the Carriage for Belle and Mr Harvey it was so bitter cold that we came home quickly. | ||
