I understand that originally it was written on a thesis for a degree an more with a view to the gentile audience than to the Jewish reader. Pine? is not a literary figure and we cannot take him much to count? but Bre Mochslove? who took the? trouble to edit the French text, Yiddish has certainly not added to his reputation by putting himself on vend? as saying in a formal note something to that effect (I do not remember the exact words.
