Forenoon warm Marine Brigade left before light  Genl Ellet sent for me called upon him pleasant man.  Shower in afternoon and cooler afterward_ Rode around to some of the picket posts_- called on Mrs. Evans and heard her complaints of which she had not a few.  Place a guard at her house.

"to sleep perchance to dream"
