Thursday Oct 8th 1862 It has looked like rain to day - we all well but baby - he I think better although he spent a very bad night - received a letter from Brother Shreve they stopped a day at Indianapolis to rest - John Hilton my brother in law gone to Louisville to night - Mr Dreffields? family arrived to day -

Friday Oct 10th 1862 It looks cloudy to day my baby improves slowly - Mr Wastell our dancing master called to day that he intended to return to Kentucky to night - Mr Badger and I went to the depot to see him - but he went in the other train and we did not see them

Monday Oct 13 - A huge battle fought at Perryville and another yesterday many killed on both sides - I went down street to day and did some shopping - Mr & Mrs Ely called to see us to night - Mr Badger gone to church meeting - baby a great deal better Belle also well -

Tuesday Oct 14 Mr Hunt arrived this morning - we all well to day - I am making children red & white ? dresses - I went out to day in my new drab? hat -Mr Hunt came to see us Mr Badger is gone to the Hotel with him - received a letter from Pa - Mrs Beidmond? & daughter called

Wednesday Oct 15 - 1862 It is a beautiful day - Ella Badger came and took Belle Eva & Ada to her house to spend the day - I went visiting called on Mrs S. A. Smith - Le. Laflin Mrs Gusnee Mrs Walker & Mrs Miller Mrs L. L Hayes Mrs Moulten Mrs B. F Haddock Mrs Adams Allen & Mrs Dreffield then I got Mr Badger and boy Sheridan and went to the West end for children - returned home late - at nine O'clock there was a large torch procession to meet the Bishop Dregan - who has just returned from Ensape? - they played beautiful music he made some remarks -
