Dear Aunt Cynthia,
I hope you will excose  me for not writting before as I have not had much time. I made 5 mats and 6 pairs of ristlets for the Christmas tree. 3 slipper needles  books and some tatting for ma. I bought  Johnny a watch and Sallie "eath buch and squeak". And Aunt Anna an apron and a breast pin and Clara a fish and a rattle for my cousin Lyman and Onie a pin. I got a pair or earrings an a pin and a basket and a little china candle stick and a box of [[fosmitage?]] and two books and a broom and a boot niedle book and a scissors and a ruffle and some ribbons and a little lamb and a mat and a pin cusion
