To day moved our head Qrs on board the Platte Valley preparatory to leaving for down the river. Pleasant day. The prisoners taken at Arkansas Post are laying along side us. Officers were on a spree coming at a late hour. | |||

On board Platte Valley. Start probably to morrow down the river - Saw QM Burn of 4th Div - Gave him $37.00 to [[unclear]] Barnes Shalerock - 25 dollars for Boy Wesley & squared my [[scratched out: board]] mess account - Sent my Diary home & bought this one - Have $85.00 left | |||

To day moved our head Qrs on board the Platte Valley preparatory to leaving for down the river. Pleasant day. The prisoners taken at Arkansas Post are laying along side us. Officers were on a spree coming at a late hour.

On board Platte Valley. Start probably to morrow down the river - Saw QM Burn of 4th Div - Gave him $37.00 to unclear Barnes Shalerock - 25 dollars for Boy Wesley & squared my scratched out: board mess account - Sent my Diary home & bought this one - Have $85.00 left
