[[Dec 8 183??]] Dear Brother [[Mitomer?]] Your letter was welcomely received by us it was pretty well done for the first do so again Charley. How does school go with you? Have you a good teacher, and do you have lots of spelling schools I go about every night to a spelling school. Last evening I went to Grand Prairie about five miles from here. I've had a gay old time. Emery is living with us now. We enjoy ourselves very much. I take twice the comfort with him than I did with John, for he was so uneasy Emery has his California [[friend?]] come so I guess he will give up going. this is a very pleasant place. I think I envy myself very much. Charley tell Harriet to write to me and I will answer her letter. We shall get our likeness taken and send as soon as we can. Tell [[unclear]] Davis to write. We are all well
