Mackenzie's Official report received. It is substantially the same as already sent, Indians threaten retaliation but he is prepared for them. I have assurances from reliable sources that the better class of Mexicans are perfectly satisfied now, when they know the attack was not made upon Mexico but solely upon the Indians. I trust Mackenzie will be sustained by the Government. Indian depredations on that frontier can never be stopped so long as the Indians are permitted to Escape pursuit by crossing into Mexico. | |||

Mackenzie's Official report received. It is substantially the same as already sent, Indians threaten retaliation but he is prepared for them.
