I braught all our mules from the train over to the ranch that night as none of the hands was willing to proceed further without a gard. After the Indians left, the place wheare they had killed Bersell they got on to an elevated point opposid my place and stoped and took a survey of the country, they then left, there and went in to the timber at the mouth of Bluff Creek wheare Capt Beck camped his command when he came over to our place.
