Thanksgiving was spent by us in Virginia with Martha's parents and during the one week I was there I sold off the last of my farm equipment, stock, tools, crops, &c and rented the farm. I almost sold the farm too, two parties being unexpectedly prevented from carrying out their wished to by by being unable to get hold of their own money, one from his bank, the other from personal debtors. |
