    Gen'l. Thomas asked me about the killing of those mule thieves and if any report had been made of it.  I told him you had made a report to Dept. Hd.qrs. and I believed Major Yard had also.    He said he had not yet seen the reports.
    I have not yet leard from you since I left Ft. Sill.  Direct to me at Rancocus, [undrline] Burlington Co. [underline] New Jersey. [underline]
    Kind regards to Mrs. Grierson, I have been quite unwell for the past three days.
