I wish you "a happy new year" of course. And no doubt you are very happy without my good wishes, now little Georgie is able to run about again. It does seem almost a miracle, I rejoice with you. Your crops too have been very abundant, you certainly have great cause for happiness and I've no doubt you appreciate it - I hope you are all well - I ought to, and intended to have answered your letter before you delay was so long in writing - [[written down left hand side of page]] I've got some new red flannel drawers Knickerbockers they call them. They are real nice but rather expensive - cost me $3.00 - But I guess it will pay in comfort - You better have some too - Good Bye
