An Ointment for any Ache Take a Quantity of the flours of Cowslips pike them cleane put them into a vessel that is cleane wt some oile olive stopped close 2. or 3. daies till they wax hoary stir them together and stop the vessel close agayne til they be rotten; Then strayne them thorough a cleane cloth and kepe the oyle in a cleane vessel for Aches
A water to heale a Sore Take a galon of run~ing water, a handful of ribwort, another of plantain, the like of Mousears, a handful of yarrow, the like of [ eaves] a quarter of a pound of [allo] and 7 sponfulls of [lifebony]. Boile all togethr from a galch to a pottle, strayne and put into a stone jug or bottle and stop it. When you have use therof, warm a little of it and wet a fine linen cloth then lay it on the sore twice a day. This is very good. This medicine was made much of by the Lady Cane of Bygrene
