A few reflection shall close this part of our subject. We have noted in a variety of instances the impropriety, unclear & folly of glorying in Wisdom, strength, riches or any other advantage which comes under either of those heads belonging either to the young, the middle aged or those advanced in life. It ought ever to be fixed as an established maxim of invariable truth, that whenever we depart from God we despise him, and substitute some other object in his place, and in doing this we cast the highest insult upon his magesty: And
