Capt Scott took me to the house where Custer and Sheridan camped in 1868 they dug holes in the ground and placed their tents over the holes the holes protected the soldiers from the winds, the holes are ? here seem? seen? none very plain. I made a sketch today of a fence and? gate made by the Appache Indians which is interesting and unique. I get up by bugle call
