Dear Jack Conroy:
Your DISINHERITED meant a great deal to me, not only on its own strength, its own life force, but
because I came from that world, too. Although I was brought up on a farm, I went seeking work in the Thirties: ranch, factory, restaurant, a few mines, and finally construction. Your people, your family, your wanderings and conclusions are real to this reader. I look forward to reading whatever else you care to write. Stories? Memories? Autobiography? Whatever, you've got one eager reader waiting to go to work on your pages!
