tirely wicked but they had some time or other fallen into gross sin is rash, ignorant & malicious. -- It shows that all who Judge them, are wholly unacquainted with their own hearts, & the progress of divine grace in the hearts of others-- As well might they Judge that a man who through his whole life was given to avarice, was really a liberal man, but he had done one liberal act, for wh. he was very sorry-- How absurd!! But this is t way, in wh. many Judge of professing christians now. If they can find any blot or wicked thing they have done, they glory in it & condemn them at once as wicked-- although t. most of their lives has been very regular & pious, & but none can be found entirely perfect, they Judge there are none good. Perfection is is granted on all hands, is not t.lot of man-- Yet, if profession of religions are imperfect, they are condemned as wicked & mere hypocrites. -- This
