Quartette Tues 14. hot, Ikes birthday. a.m. took wagon to Crisp's for repairs. Chas cut down Crab apple tree we cut down the big beach tree in grove full of initials. p.m. sharpened axes. went to wood lot & cut, wood. Wed. 15 hot cloudy, Father had sick spell just before breakfast fell in the grape arbor. struck his head and shoulder on stone. Chas attending him most all day [in margin] Father sick see July 18 Picking Seckel Pears Shelled corn in p.m. Thurs. 16 took seckel pears to market 5 1/2 bu $2.30 picked the packeries [packberries] & sold them to huckster 1 1/2 bu .35 p.m. Chas & I to woods. great weird storm but very little rain. eve mtg. Fri 17 cool. a.m. sold 1 1/2 bus. tomatoes Brooks & Potter. took corn to mill. dug potatoes in garden p.m. Chas & I begun cutting corn. Jo came home Eve. picked over beans for Sunday dinner. Sat 18 a.m. Theshing at Geo. 25 bus. oats, Geo. had 151 bus. wheat. Annie & her kids here p.m. Chas. Jo. & I cutting corn
