Are our hearts, our affections our views & our interests one with him- Are we his spouse ? &.- Or do we depend upon him without this union & think to be saved but his atonement is so extensive it will do us no good unapplied- It is utterly impossible in the nature of the case- Let all be ware how they depend on a hope built upon sand- Finally In this subject we may see how great reason the church of Christ has to be calm in the most distressing times- Christ never will abandon his own body- the members of himself.
