   Did you get two recent letters sent you to Endfield by me. If not I want you to get them. they were sent to Gen Debring. I long for California again & shall come this fall. Are you [?soon?] coming this way again or dont you know

   Mary dont settle down as the conventional married lady - but write write. You can do it so well & how it is needed. I often see Prof Foster & many of your other friends & we always talk of you. Yesterday I had lunch with Kenneth Harris & he told me how much he liked you. I thought you were old friends but he said he had seen you but once. Well I will write you occasionally & shall always be glad to hear from you
