Dear Mrs Walden -

                                  I learn from

the "Metamora Herald" received this morning of the death of your good mother - so ends a busy and useful life.

I remember how her eyes filled with tears when one day in G.E I said to her "There is a crown waiting for you for good deeds here." I think she had been taking care of the little boy - a weary task sometimes for an old person but she rests now, and the days will be lonely for you. Life is not quite the same when mother goes home. Two in my list of relatives and one of the friends have gone since I wrote you last and the loneliness is just that much greater - I hope
