Dear sisters,

  You will see by the following that I am continuing to improve quite rapidly. You must turn over and begin to read in the second page for that is where I commenced to write. If Dr. calls on you I suppose it will be sometime during this week. Show him everything that is worth seeing, for I shall want him to tell you about it when he comes back. Write soon, - Sarah.  

bulk of page is written upside-down: it needed but the presence of you, dear sisters, and our beloved ones at home about us. I should have been too happy there. As you might suppose, I was greeted with supprise by each one as they entered the room and found Sarah sitting there. In a little while the bell rang for worship. the family seated themselves quietly around Mr. Kellogg and a portion of that Book I have so often heard my own dear father read; after which a song of praise arose so sweetly, and then they knelt in prayer. Oh, do you wonder that I thought of home? that my spirit yearned unclear, deeply and almost painfully to be there once more? -- But I must hasten, I have said more now than I intended to, but not half as much as I would like to; however my room is limited and I must close. I havent room to tell you of my journey back to my room: I will only say I was carried back through the parlor, and they let me stay a little while to hear them play on the Piano. I was not sick at all after it. I got a little tired but was rested nicely before night-
