At 6am an engine took us in hand & away we went.Got up early to see Cañon of Arkansas. Splendid. About noon we left Arkansas & entered the Marshall pass. Not so fine as to scenery, but engineering magnificent, pass 10,500 feet above sea level. Highest RR pass in the U.S. From top can see train on west side apparently under our feet - got up & down all safe
