Took it easy this morning & started at 8:30 am - while the wagons were being packed. I found a covey of true western quail - I got them up three times, bagged 3 birds, & wounded two more which I did'nt get, but I could not get the covey scattered. Walnut Ck Nov. 7, 79 Took it easy this morning & started at 8:30 am - while the wagons were being packed. I found a covey of true western quail - I got them up three times, bagged 3 birds, & wounded two more which I did'nt get, but I could not get the covey scattered. They rose as one bird & were off like shot every time. Put up stakes at the point where my
