beheld a man coming to meet him. Having approached and saluted one another, the Son of God asked Ganyodiyoh whether he had ever heard the old people say that sometime many years ago, there was a man killed, toward the rising sun, for doing good. The Prophet answered that he had. The Savior replied saying, I am he of whom it is reported that he was killed for doing good. They did not kill me, but I left them for there were a proud & haughty people. He goes on saying, gave? the people so much good instruction, but they regarded it not, and when I left them they began to repent & prayed no to come back among them. They confess to me this wrong in despising my council and in rejecting my own city? from among them. I hear their prayers & would gladly forgive them & make them happy, but I cannot. They shall not see me as long as the earth remains. The spirits of those dying shall wander to & from in teh earth. At the end of the world, I shall come back & take home to myself those were in deed sorry for & repented of their sins. Prophet says, that he saw the prints of the nail in the hands & feet of the Savior. He says also that he saw the prints of the crown of thorns which was put upon his head, the mark of the spear also which was thrust into his side. The Savior furthermore observed to the Prophet, that he also might possibly become a martyr to his religion, but it would be nothing new in the annals of the history of the world. When you leave earth to enter heaven, I shall see you again. Farewell. Chiefs, warriors, women & children. I return to all of you collectively my sincere thanks for the patience you have exhibited in listening what I have had to say, in a very broken & disconnected manner. May the Great Spirit bless you all and may he bestow upon you the blessings of life, health, peace & prosperity, & in turn may you appreciate his great blessings. Once more my friends receive my sincere thanks and best wishes for your happiness & prosperity here & hereafter.
