21st. The Colonel attended inspection & although I dressed myself up in my "brass coat" the Col. excused me from attending. Read some in the Bible.I sometimes lie and think about how much I would love to spend a Sabbath occasionally. Even the contemplation of such a pleasant subject affords some relief and [[nerves?]] one to love more as loved ones at home would wish that one should.
