Sat. Apl 16 1898. a.m. Chas. Eli & I burning brush at wood lot. Geo. finished sowing 2 acres oats. S. end hill lot on shares. Plowed some at N. end. p.m. All kids at hill lot planting potatoes N. end. Brought home load of wood Sun. 17 slight shower in a.m. S.S. and Church. Eli & I rode to Lake Ave. Stopped at Sears' and hitched up their horse for Miss Sears & Miss Stein. Eli taught class of boys. C.E. meetg. Sang Haven of Rest. flunked 2nd Cong. Ch. to Gospel Song Service. Mon. 18 shower in a.m. Chas to farm all day. Rich's to dinner I home all day. Put up old shed for the summer. Clearing up in lane etc. Down town in p.m. to see about printg programs of S.S. Conv. Ruby Crown Kinglet. G.C. Kinglets. Cherry & Peach blossoms. also Jap Quince apple leaves partly out.
